Nostalgia Designer Recycle store first opened its doors in 1994. Our founder Diana Matthews worked in the fashion industry in Wellington and Auckland during the heady eighties. Ahead of her time Diana spotted a gap in the market in the Bay and Hawke's Bays original designer clothing recycle store was born. 

Diana (quite the dame) ran the business for 25 years until her daughter Susie Devonshire took over in 2020. Susie loves fashion as much as her mum. We proudly honour Diana’s memory, her attention to detail, and reputation for quality instore at Nostalgia: where secondhand is grand. 

We offer the most eclectic selection of sustainable, beautiful, recycled designer fashion in the Bay. We source a carefully curated small range of vintage and handmade New Zealand homewares from time to time too. 

Our team love helping stylish fashionistas (aka Nostalgistas) to dress sustainably and beautifully. Nostalgia Designer Recycle happily sits alongside the beautiful shops and designer goodness in the pretty village of Havelock North in the heart of Hawke’s Bay.
